I recently had the chance to reunite with my friend Caitlin Rose-Peterson. I graduated from high school with her, but had not seen her since 2001. Today she has an absolutely beautiful family, including her husband Dave and her three children Luke, Hadley and Emma.
The Rose-Petersons decided they wanted to have their photo shoot at The Cove at Normandy Park Community Club (website: www.npcove.org). This just so happens to be one of my favorite places to shoot family photos. The area has plenty of big open spaces for children to run around and have fun, which is great for getting some adorable candid photos. Plus, when we’re interested in taking a break, the children can go and entertain themselves at a nearby pond, where there are plenty of ducks and geese to chase!
We were very fortunate to have perfect weather and lighting for that day. As you can see in the above photo, there were many pictures were I was able to capture the sunlight as it shined through the trees, giving some radiant yellow hues and the perfect natural backdrop for the family pictures.
Overall it was a very pleasant day to spend with a beautiful, happy family, and I’m glad to be able to help them preserve the memories of their children at this age through this photo shoot.
