This January I had the special experience of doing an engagement session for a gorgeous lady I have known since I was 15 years old!
Irma and I have been friends since we were in ninth grade at Wenatchee High School. She has been like a sister to me ever since. I know her parents and sisters, and her younger sister Sonia was one of my best friends. She very sadly passed from leukemia, but I have remained in close contact with her family, and especially Irma, ever since.
Irma’s fiancé Joel is absolutely wonderful, and I was so honored and excited when they asked me to photograph their engagement session and their wedding, which is being held this June in East Wenatchee.
We took the photos for her engagement session in Mission Ridge Ski and Board Resort on a beautiful, snowy winter day. Irma dressed in bright colors to stand out from the snow, and Joel complemented her with beautiful natural and neutral colors.
Shoots like this are always a lot of fun. The snow adds an entirely new and unique layer of beauty, and I love couples who are adventurous enough to brave the cold and get out in the snow for these kinds of sessions. The two of them had me laughing the entire time.
I can’t wait to shoot their wedding!
