I’ve known Marissa for 17 years now (wow!). She has been one of my best friends since we were freshmen at Wenatchee High School, and we were even roommates for a time in Seattle. So when she asked me to take her engagement photos with her fiancé Daniel (in Spain, no less!) I was extremely excited.
Marissa met Daniel when she did a girls’ trip with her friend Kim to Spain. Daniel is originally from Madrid. He is a kind, loving and caring person who swept Marissa off her feet the moment they met. Marissa eventually decided to move to Spain, and they live there together today.
I had the chance to pay her a visit last October. The day after I arrived in Madrid, we drove to the South of Spain to visit Granada, Seville and Cordoba. We stayed in some pretty nice hostels and hotels along the way. It was an incredible experience, especially having a Spain native along with us to be my guide. I’ll never forget it.
After we went back to Madrid, they showed me around the city that they now call home. We even took another day trip to beautiful Segovia, where I got to see the real castle they used as a model for the one in Sleeping Beauty!
These engagement photos were taken along the way on our whole trip. Many were taken at the Alhambra, with others taken in Seville, Cordoba and Segovia.
Now, I get the honor of shooting their wedding back in our hometown of Wenatchee, Washington this month. I can’t wait to celebrate!
