Krystal and Marcus met because of their shared love of a game. Over 4th of July weekend, I was honored to be their photographer at their wedding as they celebrated their love of each other.
The two met each other when the Washington Athletic Club sent them to play in a basketball tournament in Fort Worth, Texas. While they were at a cocktail social event in Fort Worth, Marcus laid his eyes on Krystal and approached her. The rest is history. The two continued to hang out during all of their games at the tournament and cheered each other on. When they returned to Washington, the friendship continued, and they began dating.
Their wedding was an absolutely beautiful occasion, as we had gorgeous weather for the 4th of July weekend. It was held in Marcus’s parents’ backyard, which ended up being the perfect spot to have a 4th of July weekend wedding and celebration. It was a lot of fun to watch them surrounded by friends and family holding sparklers during their exit at the end of the evening!
There were several other stops that day before we got to the wedding site. Krystal got ready with her girls at the historic Davenport Hotel in downtown Spokane, Washington. Marcus and Krystal’s first look occurred at the beautiful Manito Park.
There were so many special moments from this wedding. With it being the 4th of July weekend, it was only fitting that you could practically see the fireworks going off in Marcus’s eyes when he looked at his bride. The two didn’t stop smiling the entire day!
It was a wonderful wedding with plenty of dancing and beautiful speeches by the best man, maid of honor and father of the bride. It was wondrous to watch it all and think that a shared love of basketball made all of it possible.
