Hannah and Ben’s Wedding at Twin Willow Gardens

When I photograph weddings, I become friends with some truly amazing couples. Hannah and Ben were no different! I was so honored when they chose me to capture their special day at Twin Willow Gardens. The couple radiates a love that’s very real—not just for each other, but for their friends, their family and everyone they meet.

I actually met Hannah and Ben while shooting a wedding for their friends Julia and Jared. I’ll be honest, I was a little nervous to meet Hannah and Ben. They’re just so gorgeous! But then I saw their warm smiles, and I immediately felt at ease. Hannah and Ben are beautiful people, both inside and out!

Their first look and private vows

Hannah and Ben had their first look among the lush greenery at Twin Willow Gardens. The landscape is so picturesque, which made it super easy for me to capture some incredible photos. Hannah and Ben were in awe when they saw each other, and there were definitely tears of joy from them both.

After their first look, Hannah and Ben shared a private moment together as they exchanged their wedding vows. They took turns reading from their matching vow journals, which were just so sentimental and precious. I’m so glad they got to spend some time together before the ceremony, and I’m even more grateful that I got to photograph it!

A magical ceremony in the woods

This was truly one of the most magical weddings I’ve ever been to. Twin Willow Gardens has a gorgeous open space in the middle of the woods. The décor was very nature-inspired, from the wooden arch to the hanging vines that blended perfectly with the surrounding trees. It felt like we were in a magical forest!

And then there was the chandelier. During the ceremony, Hannah and Ben stood beneath this stunning crystal chandelier that hung from the wooden arch. Its glowing light was just like the warmth, kindness and love that we all felt from Hannah and Ben. After the ceremony concluded, the couple and I stuck around to capture even more photos beneath the chandelier.

An elegant outdoor reception

The good vibes (and drinks) were flowing under the venue’s open-air pavilion. We raised a toast to the happy couple and listened as their closest friends and family members gave heartwarming speeches. After a delicious buffet-style dinner, Hannah and Ben cut the wedding cake beneath the warmly-lit arbor. It was the perfect place for a photo op!

The party continued long into the evening with tons of laughing and dancing. I even recognized some guests from Julia and Jared’s wedding! One of my favorite things about photographing weddings is I get to meet new people and reconnect with old friends. Not only do I become friends with the couple, but I become friends with their loved ones as well.

Sunset photos and a sparkler sendoff

It wouldn’t be a proper Twin Willow Gardens wedding without a photoshoot in front of the property’s towering willow trees! Close to sundown, the couple and I snuck away from the party to capture some incredible sunset photos. The glowy lighting was so magical, and it gave Hannah and Ben a chance to spend some more alone time together.

The sendoff was just as magical as the rest of the day. Guests were given sparklers to celebrate Hannah and Ben’s new life together. The sparklers lit up the night as Hannah and Ben made their grand exit. I just loved capturing the happy couple’s radiant smiles!

Thank you, Hannah and Ben, for letting me be a part of your special day. I hope we see each other again soon!
