Jamie and Young’s Willows Lodge wedding was a dream come true. After postponing their original wedding due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the lovely couple never gave up on their dreams of having a beautiful wedding ceremony with family and friends. Needless to say, Willows Lodge did not disappoint.
The Venue for the wedding @ Willows Lodge
Situated on five acres of gorgeous gardens by the Sammamish River in Woodinville Wine County, Willows Lodge provides everything you need for a wedding. According to them, your wedding should be everything you had hoped for, so they have crafted their facilities in such a way that you don’t have to worry about a thing. As anyone that works at Willows Lodge weddings would say, you only need to bring something old, and they will provide the rest.
This we can attest to be true as Jamie and Young’s nuptials went on without a hitch. From the inspired food and wine catered for by the award-winning Barking Frog Restaurant, to the skilled catering team who orchestrate a seamless event in signature style. Every Willows Lodge wedding is a unique and memorable experience. You can choose between hors d’oeuvres, stations, a cocktail reception, family-style, French service, a buffet, or a plated meal and have tastings the week before to decide exactly what you want for your wedding. The personnel in this lodge is incredibly attentive, kind, and nice to everyone.
A Magical Lodge wedding
Jamie and Young’s Willows Lodge wedding started off at the copper-roofed, open-air garden gazebo with the most tranquil fountain as the backdrop. I had the honor of capturing amazing shots of the couple and their small wedding team around the beautifully landscaped gardens during cocktail hour. The most beautiful shots, however, have to be the ones taken on the patio right outside the Sammamish Ballroom, thanks to the surrounding flowers and herbs in raised garden beds.
While this particular wedding didn’t have a lot of people due to the pandemic, Willows Lodge offers luxurious overnight accommodation for all your guests in their 84 guest rooms and suites. Both the outdoor and indoor wedding options are spacious enough to handle at least 200 guests. For the reception, you can dine and dance the night away at the breath-taking Sammamish ball featuring rustic Douglas Fir beams, huge wood-trimmed windows, and neutral color schemes to fit into your theme.
The Family
While a Willows Lodge wedding is by every measure spectacular, it was Jamie and Young’s family and friends that really brought it home. You could tell they loved the couple by how they made sure every second of that day was amazing. The smiles, the games, and all the fun activities are well captured in the pictures.
As a photographer, I have met clients who ended up being friends, but Jamie and Young have become family. Their kindness, generosity, and welcoming nature towards me and everyone else have been consistent throughout the period we have known each other. Saying it was my utmost pleasure to have been part of their journey is an understatement. Their wedding at Willows Lodge was truly an inspiration, and we wish them nothing but the best in their long, happy marriage.
