Nikki and Mike Wedding at Trinity Tree Farm

Nikki and Mike’s Special Day at Trinity Tree Farm

This past year, I’ve had the privilege of photographing another gorgeous ceremony at Trinity Tree Farm . The venue is tucked into the hills of the Pacific Northwest and surrounded by an evergreen backdrop that stretches for miles. The setting was perfect, but what stood at the center of it all was Nikki and Mike.

Postponing Nikki and Mike’s Dream Wedding

I first met Nikki and Mike before the pandemic, back when they had plans for an extravagant wedding filled with family and friends. The couple was sadly forced to postpone their original date, as was the case for many weddings that were supposed to happen in 2020.

Nikki and Mike couldn’t wait to start their new life together. While their dream wedding was put on hold, they decided to plan a small, intimate ceremony with their closest loved ones. Even at the height of a pandemic, nothing could get in the way of Nikki and Mike celebrating their love for each other.

I wasn’t able to make it, so my second photographer, Angelica, received the honor of documenting their special day. You can feel the joy radiating from Nikki and Mike just by looking at the photos. It wasn’t the Issaquah wedding they had in mind, but the ceremony marked a truly unforgettable start to their happy marriage.

The Perfect Setting at Trinity Tree Farm

I’ve photographed many Issaquah weddings in the past, but none compare to Nikki and Mike’s special day. The wedding took place on a crisp October afternoon when trees were just beginning to change color. But what’s even more stunning is the venue’s Christmas tree farm! Rows upon rows of tall evergreens presented me with plenty of photo ops.

The venue is known for more than its Christmas tree farm. Couples choose to host their Issaquah weddings at Trinity Tree Farm because of its gorgeous reception space in the Barn and the Lodge. Inside the Barn, French double doors open up to rustic beams and fairy lights strung along the ceiling. Couples who prefer a more elegant, classic look can book the Lodge’s bright and airy reception hall. Plus, the Lodge sits on a hilltop that overlooks Mount Rainier!

Trinity Tree Farm comes with all the amenities a wedding party could ever dream of. The venue offers log cabins where bridesmaids can do their hair and makeup. There are additional dressing areas where groomsmen can relax and prepare for the special day. These private suites also feature stained glass windows and balconies that let you bask in the evergreen landscape.

Part of what I love about Trinity Tree Farm is the venue’s sprawling lawn space. Couples get to pick between a white arbor with matching folding chairs or a wooden gazebo with accompanying rustic benches. There was no better place to see Nikki finally walk down the aisle with her father. The joy on her face was more radiant than the glowing sunlight. It was an emotional moment for everyone, especially her soon-to-be husband.

After the ceremony, guests transitioned to an outdoor cocktail hour. The Barn and Lodge offer gas fire pits for autumnal coziness and wood-burning ones to roast s’mores. The Lodge in particular has a room on the ground floor with access to fun games like foosball and a pool table. There was no shortage of fun activities to entertain the guests!

A Sendoff with Sparklers in the Air

Nikki and Mike ended their special day with a heartwarming sendoff. Loved ones stood along both sides of the couple’s pathway, holding sparklers that lit up the night sky. It was the perfect ending to a day filled with family, friends and overflowing happiness. But for Nikki and Mike, their journey together has only just begun.

Many thanks to the happy couple for inviting me to photograph this gorgeous Issaquah wedding! I’m so glad you two finally got the ceremony and reception of your dreams. I hope my career brings me back to Trinity Tree Farm so I can document many more special moments for couples in the future.
