Stunning Wedding at The Edgewater House

Gracie and Alex recently got married at the beautiful The Edgewater House in Gig Harbor, a private waterfront wedding and event venue. This was my first time shooting there, and let me tell you—this is an amazing venue. It’s a home located right on the water with stunning views, a beautiful beach and a really intimate and private feeling, despite having plenty of space for festivities.

I met Gracie and Alex through Johanna, the wedding coordinator at the venue, and honestly, it was as if Johanna knew we were going to be a great match. The moment I met Gracie and Alex, I just knew we were meant to work together! They were so easygoing and so much fun—the laughs came easy with these two. I first met them for their engagement photos in Pioneer Square, Seattle—with such a good-looking couple, it was easy to deliver them some great photos!

The day of their wedding was very much the same way—greeting them felt like greeting old friends. We kept in touch since then over email, text and social media as they made the move to Southern California while in the midst of their wedding planning.

Gracie looked absolutely stunning in her perfectly fit wedding dress, and Alex made for an extremely handsome groom. There was a moment when I told Gracie before she saw Alex for the first time, “Alex is going to freak out when he sees you for the first time,” and Gracie responded back, “I’m going to freak out when I see Alex for the first time!” It was just one of many little signs throughout the day of how much Gracie is in love with Alex.

It was a very sweet ceremony, with lots of tears from both the bride and groom, especially during the vows. Even I had to hold back a few!

It was a wonderful gathering of family and friends at the Edgewater House, as well. Their bridal party was the biggest I’ve had in one of my weddings to date—26 people total! It just shows how loved they are and how much they love and care about their friends, all of whom were incredibly kind and accommodating. And what a good looking bunch!

The live band kept the party going until 11 PM, and there was no moment that the dance floor was empty. All in all, this was definitely the best day of this couple’s lives, and it was one of the best weddings I’ve ever had the pleasure of photographing. Check out the Edgewater House for your next event.

A special thank you to my associate photographer, Stephanie, who helped me shoot this wedding—she was amazing and a pleasure to work with!

So much LOVE right here! Love it when we get photo photobomb by the grooms father!
