Beautiful Lake Chelan Wedding at Siren Song Vineyard Estate & Winery

For my first wedding of the season, I was honored to photograph Evan and Ahna, at the most stunning venue in Lake Chelan at the Siren Song Vineyard Estate & Winery.  This couple that I recognized as being warm, caring and loving the moment I met them during our first meeting together.

Let’s put it this way—anyone who comes with their dog to our first meeting automatically wins some points in my book, because I’m such a sucker for animals. They brought their dog Ozzy to their engagement session at the Woodmark Hotel in Kirkland, and it was great to be able to spend some time with them there to get to know them. They placed their trust in me from the very beginning as their photographer, so I knew we would get some wonderful shots.

As I talked more with Ahna and Evan, they shared with me about the passing of both of Ahna’s parents and Evan’s father. They wanted to be able to honor the parents who were not present with them during the wedding by having a special seat reserved for them during the ceremony with their pictures on it.

This was an incredibly touching and heartfelt tribute, and one that I connected with personally, having lost my father myself when I was nine years old and still living in Mexico.

Ahna was walked down the aisle by her step-dad, with whom she is very close, and Evan walked down the aisle with his mom while holding his father’s photo. It was emotional and meaningful, and got the ceremony off to a perfect start.

The venue for the day was Siren Song Wines, one of the most stunning venues I’ve shot at. It’s located in the city of Chelan in eastern Washington, and had some remarkable views. People traveled from all over the country to be there, and site certainly made it worth their while. The weather made it even better—78 degrees with just a light breeze.

One unique twist that I loved was that Ahna and Evan shared their vows privately during their first look, which I thought was an extremely special moment for them to share to allow themselves to take it all in before they spent the day in front of their guests.

I loved being able to interact with the guests and connect with family and friends. I even stayed a little past my end time, and the groom’s sister sent me home with some stone oven pizza from the venue, which was delicious. It was a great start to my wedding season, and just a wonderful, special couple.

Thank you to Ahna and Evan for trusting me as your photographer and allowing me to capture your wedding with no shot list so you could enjoy your wedding on your own terms! I can’t wait to come back to Siren Song Vineyard Estate & Winery.

Ahna wears her Mother’s wedding ring which I thought was so special that we needed to photographed both rings together.    A little behing the scene photo of me in action!

A special memorial to honor their parents whom have passed.                   Feeling all the LOVE from Ahna/Evan and Julia/Jared my previous couple!
