Many of the couples I work with are friends I have known for years. Kelly and Conor, however, I did not know beforehand. But one of the things I love most about what I do is that I can meet so many incredible people, and I came away from their wedding in love with the both of them!
These are two of the most down-to-earth, genuine people I’ve met. You can tell that I’m not the only one who feels this way, too, based on the wonderful people they surrounded themselves with on their wedding day. They have some tremendously sweet and kind friends. The whole bridal party was a joy to spend time with, and they were all so full of joy as they watched their best friends tie the knot.
The venue for the wedding was the Spurgeon Creek estates in Olympia, WA. It was a picture-perfect venue, with a beautiful creek running through the landscape and plenty of small bridges to add to the scenery. Gorgeous tall forest trees surrounded the reception area. When you were standing there, you really felt like you were in the middle of forest. It was breathtaking and felt extremely intimate. Their wedding planner, Lynn, did a tremendous job of arranging the whole thing.
While Kelly was walking down the aisle with her mom and dad on each side, she shed a few tears, which put many of her guests (including myself) in tears as well. Fortunately I was able to hid behind the camera during the emotional moment!
During the reception, Kelly and Conor came in dancing and waving their hands up in the air. At one point, I had to pull them aside to tell them how much I loved their entrance. Kelly told me they wanted to have a good time and make sure their guests were, as well—and they definitely succeeded. There was a lot of laughter, a few tears, and a whole lot of partying!
I came away feeling incredibly grateful for having met these two, and want to wish them many years of happiness together. I know that whenever they look back on their wedding day, it will always bring a smile to their face.
