Ana & Allen | The Lodge at Trinity Tree Farm | Seattle Wedding Photographer

I recently had the pleasure of photographing the wedding of Ana and Allen, a wonderful couple, at the beautiful venue that is The Lodge at Trinity Tree Farm.

I’ve been taking photos at Trinity Tree Farm, its sister venue, for four years now, so I know it quite well. The Lodge is its newest venue, so I was very excited when Ana and Allen told me they had booked it and asked me to shoot their wedding there.

Like the Trinity Tree Farm, The Lodge is an absolutely beautiful space. It has very similar views and landscape as Trinity, with an outdoor space perfect for hosting ceremonies and other gatherings. It’s surrounded by beautiful evergreens that are harvested for use as Christmas trees.

The indoor reception space has pleasant, cream-colored walls with plenty of natural light. Once the evening hits, the stunning chandeliers provide a truly elegant lighting display. What a romantic, breathtaking venue—I can see why Ana and Allen chose it for their special day!

As for Ana and Allen, what a lovely couple. They were so laid back and easygoing that it made their wedding extra special. I clicked with them really well, because my style is more laid back as well, and I think that’s one of the things my clients tend to appreciate about my work. I’m not at all pushy—I focus on getting all the shots the couple wants efficiently while still having fun with the process and keeping everyone involved, relaxed and happy.

And fortunately, everyone else involved was also wonderful to work with. Ana’s mom was such a sweetheart—she made me feel like a part of the family. Ana’s family is Brazilian, and her mother spent a great deal of time before the wedding baking brigadeiro,a traditional Brazilian dessert that was so delicious. I usually try to avoid eating dessert at weddings just so I don’t gain weight from all the amazing food by the end of wedding season (it’s happened before!), but I absolutely could not resist the brigadeiro. I captured some photos of the dessert table that highlight the sheer number of hours Stefany (Ana’s mom) spent putting everything together, and it turned out amazing.

Ana and Allen also had a sweet dog named Atlas, who was able to be at the wedding to witness his parents tie the knot. I love animals (I have two pugs, Bella and Frank), and I always feel connected to other people who love their animals as much as I love mine. Atlas is even Instagram famous—check him out at @atlas_lakie.

The whole day was so much fun, with plenty of laughs, tears of joy and lots of dancing. Wunderland Events and the MC Jacqui V know how to get the party started, and they kept the guests moving from the time Ana and Allen were welcomed back to make their grand entrance until the night was over.

I’m so grateful to Ana and Allen for letting me be a part of their day, and know they will have a wonderful marriage and life together!
