Alison & Chris | Trinity Tree Farm

Last weekend I had the opportunity to shoot the wedding for Alison and Chris, a wonderful couple who met while at school at Gonzaga University, at one of my very favorite venues: the Trinity Tree Farm. The couple have a knack for picking great spots for shooting photos, as the first time I met them was for their engagement photos at Gene Coulon Memorial Beach Park in Renton.

I remember that first meeting very well! One of the first things Alison told me about their wedding was that she was planning on wearing Converse shoes to the wedding, that the reception would have pizza and beer, and that they were going for a very “chill” atmosphere.

Despite being on one of the hottest days of the summer, the wedding certainly lived up to their “chill” hopes! Alison started the day by doing her own makeup, her mom helped by doing her hair, and it turned out just beautiful. The reception had plenty of beer and water to keep people cool, plenty of relaxed and kind family and friends, and a really “at home” atmosphere that I loved.

The couple had a very sweet private moment during their first look. Those types of moments are one of the reasons why I love shooting at Trinity Tree Farm so much. No matter what the weather is like, there is so much beautiful scenery that accentuates those special moments that happen. The privacy and shade offered by the trees made for some fantastic shots.

The entire day was filled with laughter, and there were particularly beautiful toasts by the Maid of Honor, Best Man and Father of the Bride. I see so many different types of weddings in my work, but really relaxed, chill weddings like these hold a special place in my heart.

Congratulations to the happy couple!
